Deenabandhu Teacher Resource Center (TRC) was established in 2005-06
at the Deenabandhu School campus in Chamarajanagara. Its objective was
to promote experiential learning in rural government schools in
Karnataka. The TRC works in the area of Languages, Science and
Mathematics education in government schools through regular training
for teachers, creating new teaching learning materials (TLMs) and
designing engaging learning experiences for children.
Key milestones

Regular workshops for teachers from around 200 higher primary
government schools in Chamarajanagara district

Developed over 800 teaching learning materials covering various
concepts in Science and Mathematics over a period of 15 years.

Established 21 learning centers in selected government schools
reaching around 85 nearby government schools through them.

Produced around 20 science educational videos in Kannada which are
freely available on our website.

Anubhava, a monthly Kannada newsletter designed for teachers,
started in 2014, with articles on science, mathematics, learning and
pedagogy.

Vijnana Loka, a Science center in our campus, which has a Science
Park and a Science Gallery attracts over 3000 children annually.

Science Chariot – a mobile science lab that takes science
experiments to the schools

Project Shaale was started in 2021 through which we closely work
with over 40 schools tagged to 8 Learning Centers in Chamarajanagara
district
